This article should perhaps have been titled ‘The future is green energy’!
Gone are the days when green energy was something to be seen at a school science fair or in some futuristic building where onlookers gawked at the solar panels used to power the lights there. Today, green energy is making inroads into each of our houses, and high time too!
The primary reason why a lot of people could not convert to green energy at home was because of the high start up cost. Getting a windmill or a solar generator costed a bomb, and put off a lot of wannabe users.
However, with technology becoming more accessible, and the government also trying to bring green energy equipment into the houses of people, it is now not too costly to create something that would power a few bulbs or a water heater at home. There are even subsidies for colonies that convert to green energy to power their public utility things like street lights.
The future of green energy is pretty visible to all of us. In the not so distant future, most of us will live in houses that are powered atleast partially by some green energy source, and most of the utilities in our cities will run on solar power. The equipment will become even more affordable, and you will be able to craft your own green energy generators in your backyard.
There will be higher subsidies and lower power bills for people who convert to green energy, and the state will fully support people who convert. In fact, we will also see a day when individual power producers will sell electricity to the grid and make a living out of it! Nice!
