Make Your Own Energy

By | May 25, 2009

‘Do it yourself’ has reached a proportion where you can now even make your own energy!
Making model airplanes and radio controlled cars are now passé. Think about how nice it would sound if you mentioned to your friends – I just made a new solar power generator, and half my home now runs on that! Wow!

And if you are thinking – ‘can I do that?’ you don’t need to. There are ample solutions available online now which encourage people who want to go green, by stringing together a series of do it yourself guides, and if you are already into it, you can even buy complete kits that come with all the necessary equipment for you to make your own green machines.

You have various advantages when you make your own energy. While the most basic of them is the savings you’ll incur on your power bills, the more intangible things will be reduced dependence on renewable energy sources, and even a grant from the government for turning green.

Contrary to public opinion, making your own energy does not require all that knowledge about physics and making and shaking up things. The guide books of today are so well made that even a fourth grader can make a solar panel that will power his room – and that is a lovely thought for a summer project for your kid.

There are even the more serious versions of making your own energy. We have known people who’ve created surplus energy for their homes, and have started selling to their neighbors or even to the city! That is a nice thought to carry into the future – power entrepreneurs who sell to the city!
